The Challenge

Passion, Capital & Local Knowledge — But No Clarity

A husband and wife from Kota approached Yateer Creative Solutions with a dream of building something of their own.

The wife was an experienced pastry chef with international exposure and a passion for creating premium desserts and café experiences. The husband approached the opportunity from a business perspective — focused on ROI, scalability and long-term sustainability.

Although they had passion, financial capability, and deep knowledge of Kota's local culture, they needed clarity before investing.

The Husband's Business Questions

  • Which business will generate the highest ROI?
  • How quickly can we recover the investment?
  • What business model is scalable?
  • Which concept has long-term sustainability?

Their Shared Uncertainty

  • What business should they actually start?
  • Will a café succeed?
  • Should they build a restaurant instead?
  • What products would customers actually buy?
  • Which location would perform best?
  • What would be the break-even period?

How Yateer Helped

The Yateer Hospitality Journey — From Idea to Iconic Experiences

Applied step by step, this is exactly where and how Yateer created value — moving the founders from uncertainty to an informed, ROI-backed business decision.

Instead of immediately discussing interior design or branding, we spent time understanding their personal strengths, professional backgrounds, financial expectations, business goals, long-term vision and available investment.

This helped us understand that they were not looking for "a café." They were looking for a profitable hospitality business.

This became one of the most extensive research phases, covering five distinct areas:

Market DemandExisting cafés, popular restaurants, fast-growing food categories, consumer behaviour, peak hours, family dining patterns
Food ResearchPastries, desserts, snacks, local delicacies, popular beverages, trending international products, missing product categories
Competition ResearchExisting players, price positioning, product quality, customer expectations, business gaps, market saturation
Location ResearchCity centre vs. outskirts, traffic movement, residential clusters, commercial zones, accessibility, parking, future expansion
Raw Material ResearchAvailability of ingredients, vendor accessibility, supply chain stability, cost implications, product consistency

A key insight emerged during discussions: the wife wanted to build a boutique café around her passion, while the husband wanted a business that generated faster returns.

Instead of choosing one person's vision over the other, we helped define business models that could satisfy both aspirations — shifting the discussion from emotion to strategy.

Rather than jumping directly into interior design, we designed multiple business concepts: Boutique café, Dessert café, Bakery, QSR model, Hybrid café, Premium snack concept.

For each concept we analysed investment, menu possibilities, kitchen requirements, staffing, customer journey and revenue potential.

Once the concepts were shortlisted, we planned kitchen workflow, customer movement, operational efficiency, menu strategy, product mix, equipment requirements and expansion possibilities.

Every recommendation was aligned with business efficiency rather than aesthetics alone.

We prepared a structured business proposal that included business model recommendations, suggested menu direction, product positioning, customer experience ideas, revenue opportunities and operational planning.

Recognising that franchise and QSR businesses require specialised operational expertise, we connected the founders with senior hospitality professionals who had worked on establishing and scaling major QSR brands across India.

Through these collaborations, they gained exposure to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), multi-outlet operations, franchise systems, scalable kitchen models, operational efficiencies and brand consistency.

To help bridge the gap between theory and reality, we arranged visits to operational QSR outlets in Bengaluru — giving the founders firsthand exposure to customer flow, service speed, kitchen workflow, order management, space utilisation, staff coordination and revenue-focused operations.

Seeing successful businesses in action helped them evaluate which concepts aligned best with their goals.

Before any physical launch, the founders had clarity on their preferred business direction, menu possibilities, investment priorities, operational structure, customer positioning and scalability.

This significantly reduced uncertainty and improved confidence in their decision-making.

Our role extended beyond concept development. We positioned the business with long-term growth in mind — future franchise opportunities, brand consistency, operational scalability, customer experience and revenue optimisation for sustainable business growth.
